Thanks for the support. I am more than happy if you do subscribe to this blogs. I will try my best to update it as frequent as I can. So let me introduce you to my princess. Choco. Choco is 9 months old exotic long haired cat.
Exotic longhair can be characterized by its round face and shortened muzzle. Since Exotic come from outcross between Persian and other breed, exotics may carry a copy of the recessive longhair gene. When two such cats mate, there is a one in four chance of each offspring being longhaired. Having an exotic cat means we have the same problem as people who owned a Persian cat. Due to their unique skull structure, this can bring with it a number of health problems. Their eyes may require regular cleaning to prevent crust buildup and tear staining. Long hair cat required daily combing and frequent grooming. Not only for the cat but also for our hygiene.
Me myself must be more particular on hygiene issues since I'm living in an apartment and must be considerate toward others. Some people might have allergy towards cat's fur. Take note on that. Coming back to my princess Choco, she is a calico. Calico describes a coat coloring found mostly in female cats. Calicos have coats with patches of red, brown or black, chocolate, cream, or even cinnamon. The size of the patches can vary from a fine speckled pattern int0 large areas of color. Typically, the more white a cat has, the more solid the patches of color. Dilution genes may modify the coloring, lightening the fur to a mix of cream and blue, lilac or fawn.
Choco on the other hand is a white with black and orange patches. She is long coated but not as long as a show quality Persian. Although that doesn't mean she's less cuter.
Choco loves to eat. She eat almost all the time!! At the moment we feed her IAMS for Kitten, milk and fresh boiled water (the water bowl is to be cleaned everyday). But Choco's favorite I must say is the Greenies that we give daily for cat's oral hygiene. Upon hearing us shaking the Greenies packet, she'll jump on our bed looking all hungry and eager. That's not the only time she'll be jumping on the bed and purring begging us to pet her, she'll do that at any time she pleases!
Let me tell you guys how I got choco. Choco is adopted by us from her owner in Shah Alam, Selangor. She was around 5 months old back then. A very adorable flat face calico. She's been friendly since the 1st time we lay our hands on her. When Choco pay her first visit to our vet clinic we found out she have a bad fungus infection at the tip of her tail. It took almost 2 months to recover and for the hair to grows back after treatment with medicated shampoo and other supliment.
At first, she was supposed to accompany our lonely Chika back at home. But, Choco is more than that. She bring joy to our life. Although it's her nature being an alpha female, we love to see her going crazy.
When she plays, she will play like there's no tomorrow. She will jump from couch to couch and poke my prince Chika, even chasing her own tail!!
But when she rests or sleeps she doesn't care of her surroundings..
One more thing about Choco is that it's incredibly easy to shower her, but she can beat the 100m sprinter when she heard the sound of the the hair dryer! One more thing which is dearly about Choco, she don't opt for those expensive toys. She's a penchant for shredded papers, magazines and straws instead! Recently, due to her big apetite, she is getting bigger and bigger. She turned out to be like a cotton ball! Recently a friend came over and called her Tanglung! He said that it's the first thing that came to his mind when he saw Choco from the back sitting on the floor. I think its the time to control her diet.Sorry my majesty~
