I would like to thanks my reader and to those who send me an email asking some advice, I had reply some and the rest I may write in my blog as suggestion and we can also exchange some idea and advice on how we take care our pets.
Most emails asking me about the trainings for cats. But as for now I’ll write on how to litter train your cats. This is crucial. Its not going to be too early or too late for this training. It’s a hygiene issues and important for us especially if your cat is indoor (I hope every cat is indoor!)
Actually to litter train your cat is easy..Especially for kitten. Unlike puppy, cat is programmed to doing his business only at one place : Litter box. The only part the owner should do is to show where is the place: again it's the litter box. How this thing happen? The nature of cat; they will buried their feces to eliminate prove of their existence at that place from the rival, enemy or predator! They will dig and cover until they are satisfied.
Actually this nature makes our cat as a clean companion unlike other pets. If someone is claiming their cat is messy and poop everywhere, it’s because the owner is not doing their part for the training..
This blog is about me and my furry kids :)Come walk with me.. I will share about my passion with my pets, share more of pet related information, animal related web sites, stories about pets and people.

Color and you.
When we choose our new cat at the breeder, petshop or animal shelter, beside their expression looks we mostly will attracted with their coat colors and their marking. This marking are combinations of colors in a specific patterns. There are six basic varieties,: Tortoiseshell, Bicolor, Tabby, Tricolor, Colorpoint and Solid. Thanks to my friends & Mr Google for the pictures.I dont own any copyright for those picture. :)Check this out!!
Tortoiseshell - Two colored. Some call it Party-color too~
Bi color is a white coat with darks patches of any recognized color.
Tabby is the most common coat pattern and it has four varieties: striped (Mackerel), classic marbled, spotted, and ticked.
All tabby have a distinct "M" marks on their forehead, spectacles around the eyes, ring on the tail and broken rings or bars on the legs.(I got this from wiki)
- Mackerel Tabby. Ticked hairs alternate with solid hairs in stripes, as on a tiger. This is the most common tabby pattern.
- Classic Tabby. Ticked hairs alternate with solid hairs in a marble pattern, often with a circular "bullseye" on the side, or a "butterfly" on the back
- Spotted Tabby. Ticked hairs alternate with spots or rosettes of solid color, as on a leopard or jaguar.
-
- Ticked Tabby. Ticked hairs are found uniformly over the entire coat, giving a flecked or freckled appearance.
Calico (like my lil monster Choco) or also known as tricolor pattern comes in white, black and red (orange), or their diluted versions of cream and blue and there also a category of calico depend on the pattern. Chick this blog: http://just-catz.blogspot.com/2010/05/calico.html he have Calico persian in all pattern.
Some breeds are based on their colors or patterns eg Siamese while others exclude certain colors. In this pattern, the face, paws and tail (tips/points) are of a darker color than the rest of the body ThisColorpoint pattern appear in ragdoll breed too. Should I mention about Snowshoe? Tuxedo or more? Maybe i should tell you guys at my other entry. Its is a nice pattern and unique feature of some lucky cat :)
Solid. The easiest one to recognize is a coat of one color that is evenly distributed all over the body.
White - This is the only color that is always solid without any underlying tabby markings.
One genetic variety of solid white can sometimes cause deafness; however, not all white cats are deaf (just as not all deaf cats are necessarily white).
I dont know.. I feels like magic!
Black - Black cats sometimes have underlying tabby markings. When exposed to sunshine, some black coats turn into rusty color.
Red also known as orange or ginger.
Chocolate- Well.. seriously I never see a solid chocolate cat coat in live in my life!!.
Cinnamon - A variety of solid light brown with distinct red overtones.
Dilution causes uneven distribution of the pigment in the fur shaft, dilution of all colors. When a cat inherits the "dilute" genes, black becomes blue and red becomes cream and more color to make me more confuse! LOL
Note: Fawn - A dilute version of cinnamon. More confuse. LOL
Tipped British Shorthair |
Tipped - only the tips of the hair are dark. This gives the effect of the Chinchilla coat, where the cat appears almost white, with an all over silvery shimmer. This is sometimes referred to as "Shell."
Shaded - Roughly half of the hair is light and half is dark. Like my Chika!!
Smoked - Most of the hair is dark, with a light undercoat that shows through as the cat is moving.
Before i start having my babies, i was dream to have a pair of solid black and white cats. its like Ying and Yang. I was dream to have them loooooong time ago. Dont ask me why. i'll explain later in the next entry :)

Puuurrrrring More?
Now only i have time to tell you guys about what happen recently..We are super pack since last month. Of course with the new job, moving out, Eid Fitri fever, even 10.10.10 wedding list to be attend, new cat bla bla bla.. did I mention a new cat?
Well most of my fren know that we I have plan to have another cat. our third cat. our last edition of cat in the house (I promise 3 is the max). there is a lot of suggestion for me on what breed to choose, which breeder to get, what is the best price but deep in my heart i have save that space for this little cute pie.
Let me introduce our new addition in my furry-family : CHANTAL AMARISE
She is a persian. Blue-Cream Bi-colored, 9 month old female persian. Did i mention Blue-Cream? and Bicolor? how about her white colored? How to categorise? then we should call her Tri-color aite? or tortoiseshell? or perhaps calico? I dont know!!. u named it! LOL
Actually I brought this cat from one of my close friend. She is sort of breeder at Rawang. I have been to her house and see how she run the business and i satisfied. Too bad when i get Amarise on hand, She infected with a fur mite. Thats why i went to Vet for check up and testing right after she handed to me. At home i separated Amarise from my two monster (Chika my Macho Alpha cat and Choco my Miss Hug-Me-Please). Of course i wont let the mites infecting my little monster!! She is now still recovering.
I'll post more pic when she is ready. Stay tuned!
